LUNA LENA DOULA

My name is Sarah Rumbolt (She/her). I hold many titles, my two favourites in order, are 1)Mama 2)Birth Doula. I am an indigenous full spectrum birth doula certified through College of the Rockies. You'll see many photos on my site, most are of my daughter and I, including the one above and the one below. I am a huge women's advocate and am very passionate about childbirth and women supporting women. Originally from Newfoundland, I made Castlegar my home in 2020. I have a background in Child and Youth Care, as well as a diploma in Community Recreation & Leadership. I am trauma informed, birth trauma experienced, and bring with me a whole set of life experiences to help support the women and families that I have the honour of joining on their beautiful journey. 
My daughter, Eleena, is my reason why, she is my bright light and my driving force. I want to teach her that women are strong, powerful, delicate and beautiful. 
My mission as a doula is to change the negative narrative surrounding childbirth, and empower women to take control of their bodies, their babies and their birth. Birth is magical, powerful, natural and incredible.
